Properties:

Miconazole nitrate is a synthetic antifungal agent which inhibits.
the growth of the common dermatophytes , Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and the yeast-like fungus,candida albicans, and the organism responsible for tinea versicolor.

Indications:

For topical application in the treatment of tinea pedis (athlete\'s foot). tinea cruris and tinea corporis and in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis (moniliasis) and in the treatment of tinea versicolor.

Contraindications:

1- For external use only.
2- Avoid introduction the cream into eyes.
3- Sensitivity or irritation may occur, then the treatment should be stopped.

Side Effects:

Irritation , burning , and allergic contact dermatitis may occur.

Dosage:

<b>Skin infections:</b>
Apply sufficient amount of cream to cover affected area and rub gently, twice daily in patients with tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis and cutaneous candidiasis , and once daily in patients with tinea versicolor.

<b>Nail infections:</b>
Cut infected nails as much as possible and apply once daily. The treatment by Myconazol cream should be continued for 2 weeks in candida infections and tinea cruris and corporis. And for one month in tinea pedis.
